Simon Cowell is one of the most famous TV judges in the world, appearing on small screens worldwide since 2001. 

Rising to fame on the UK talent competition Pop Idol from 2001 to 2003, he went on to front similar TV competition shows, such as The X-Factor UK, Britain’s Got Talent, American Idol, The X-Factor US, and America’s Got Talent.

In addition to enjoying much success as a record executive and TV judge, Cowell has been lucky enough to find love with socialite Lauren Silverman after meeting in 2013, and they welcomed a son, Eric, in February 2014.

Barbados is Their Engagement Destination

Barbados could be a natural spot for Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman to tie the knot in 2024 because the TV judge proposed to her during a romantic getaway in the stunning country on Christmas Eve 2021.

According to the press, Simon got down on bended knee in front of their son, Eric, who was 8 years old at the time, and Lauren’s son, Adam, from her first marriage.

Simon Cowell commented to ET, “I think after everything all of us have gone through over the past two years, it has changed our lives in so many ways. Family is everything, and that’s what I kind of took away from it.”

Simon Cowell Has a Home in Barbados

Barbados may hold a special place in Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman’s hearts for many reasons. 

In addition to being the spot where they got engaged, Simon Cowell reportedly owned a £20 million ($25 million) ten-bedroom home, Cove Spring House, in Barbados.

X-Factor UK fans might remember his Barbadian house well, as it has appeared on the shows during the Judges Houses segment.

Also, it is believed he has bought a second home in the country. With plenty of sun, sea, and beautiful views, Barbados would be a romantic spot for the happy couple to exchange nuptials in 2024.

Wherever they choose to marry, it’s likely to be a more intimate wedding than an extravagant event.

It’s believed Simon is taking the lead on the wedding planning process and is keeping the details close to his chest, as he told a British newspaper, “I’m planning it all; otherwise, I know what will happen, there will be 600 people and it’ll get out of control, like my 50th birthday party. No one knows when it’s going to be. That’ll be a surprise, even for Lauren.”
