Jesse Hogan proved he is worth every penny of his salary at the GWS Giants, as he kicked an incredible 40 goals in 12 games this season, ranking him second on the goalkicking ladder, as of July 2025.

The 32-year-old is currently sitting at the top of the leaderboard, as he has scored 48 goals in 15 games for the Geelong Cats, as of July 2025.
It wouldn’t be the first time Cameron has accepted the prestigious award, as he received the Coleman Medal in 2019 for scoring 67 goals at the GWS Giants.
If he can retain the same form throughout the remainder of the season, he could follow in the footsteps of other two-time recipients of the Coleman Medal, such as Charlie Curnow (Carlton), Josh Kennedy (West Coast Eagles), Trevor Barker (St Kilda), and Jack Collins (Footscray).
Of course, another footie player could score a big bag of goals before the season is over, such as Nick Larkey, Josh Treacy, Charlie Curnow, or Riley Thilthorpe, to name a few.
The recipient of the Coleman Medal for the 2025 AFL season is expected to be announced following the conclusion of the home-and-away season round on August 23, 2025.
The player with the most goals at the end of the round will be presented with the medal during the Grand Final Week, which will likely occur during the AFL Brownlow Medal ceremony.
