A’ja Wilson is hoping to secure back-to-back MVP awards and was superb throughout 2024, averaging 26.9 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game. Wilson is still the focal point of the Aces’ attack despite the addition of Jewell Loyd in the off-season. It’ll be interesting to see how the pair combine and work together. She has dominated the WNBA over the last five seasons and looks set to continue firing for the Aces throughout 2025.
Caitlin Clark is Wilson’s biggest rival in the MVP market. She was the Rookie of the Year for 2024 and finished fourth in the MVP voting for last season. Clark averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game and her upward trend is only likely to continue. The squad looks set up for Clark to excel once again.
