What Country Will Win Eurovision 2025?

What Country Will Win Eurovision 2025?

For many, the Eurovision Song Contest is a bigger thing than the Grammys.

Historically, bands like ABBA have found their fame via this song contest, and while many people outside of Ireland may not be aware, the hit show Father Ted has an episode wherein Father Dougal and Father Ted entered with the somewhat terrible song ‘My Lovely Horse.’ This was shown before the Eurovision Song Contest, and, oddly, many Irish citizens wanted that song to represent Ireland in the competition!

In 2025, the contest will showcase its 69th edition, which is due to be held in Switzerland, following the country winning the competition in 2024.

So, as is the way in the run-up to Eurovision, many fans are curious as to which country will win in 2025.

When and Where Is It Happening?

The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is due to be held in Switzerland, and the start date is currently May 2025. The venue has not yet been chosen, and neither has the director or the host. There are currently 20 entries as of July 2024.

Who Are The Contestants?

There are 20 countries that are due to enter the contest. At the current time, there are no official selections.

However, the Eurovision website sheds some light on the pre-selections for the contest. For Switzerland 2025, it is thought that the national finalist ‘Supernova’ will be representing Latvia.

Serbia has also opened their entries for the song competition, and these entries will remain open until November 1, 2024. However, many fans are speculating that Serbian singer Teya Dora could make a comeback. So, watch the official site and the associated social media pages for updates!

Previous Winners of Eurovision

It has a long history, but there are some more well-known names who have won Eurovision. Of course, ABBA won the contest in 1974 with Waterloo and in 1988, Celine Dion won with Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi.

In more recent times, the winners have been Nemo with The Code for Switzerland in 2024, Loreen with Tattoo for Sweden in 2023, Kalush Orchestra with Stefania for Ukraine in 2022, and Maneskin with Zitti e Buoni for Italy in 2021.

How to Vote for Eurovision 2025

It’s a huge event, and if you want to vote for it, even if you are in the US or another non-participating country, you can. As the US is a non-participating country in Eurovision, those who are fans can vote using the official Eurovision app or they can vote on the website www.esc.vote. If you are in the UK or Europe, simply open the app and vote! Or, if you want to do it the old-fashioned way, you can call in via phone.

If you believe Ireland could win Eurovision 2025 (hopefully not with My Lovely Horse!), you could win $1100 by betting $100 at Bodog if they do.
